Impromptu Trip to Cameron

It all started on a fine Friday afternoon... On that faithful Friday afternoon , I was playing badminton with friends at Bukit Dumbar Badminton Centre. After that we headed to e gate to have our lunch .As i was enjoying my lunch, suddenly my phone rang , indicating a call from someone.I look at the phone screen and noticed that it's just another friend of mine , that bagger who is notorious for always inviting people to do random,crazy things. So, unaware of what crazy plans he have in mind this time , I answered the call only to hear him say " Hey sup ! Sunday wanna go cameron highlands? :D ".

......

And that's how I ended up in cameron highlands for 2 nights! Yes, I am aware that the idea might be abit random and crazy but I said yes to it because I am free and interested to visit cameron too! So,I am expected to leave for cameron on Sunday.. but unbeknown to me,there's another surprise waiting for me . On Saturday morning , when I just woke up , I got another phone call ,yes from the same bagger. And he said " Hey , I got surprise for u , we are leaving in an hour , pack up and go :) " !!!

I swear I am gonna get heart attack if I keep on talking to this guy .Anyway , I did pack up and leave for cameron at around 2pm .The whole journey took an excruciating 6 hours of boredom in the car. ==, no thanks to the super jammed traffic.

We reached Heritage Hotel at around 8pm and proceed to check in .Here are some pictures of the hotel and sceneries around it . *notice the pics are taken in the next day when it is day time *
Heritage Hotel definitely lives up to it's first class hotel rating ! It's deluxe room is super comfortable and cosy.Not to mention it's affordable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for accomodation in cameron.

Anyway, after settling in , we went around cameron for sight seeing. Among the places we visited are bee farm, Boh Tea plantation , Strawberry Park ,Blue Valley , and the night market ! Yes, i am equally surprised that there is a night market there lol but the most of the stores in the night market there sells mostly vegetables and strawberries coz.. it's cameron well? Either way, there's nothing much to say here except that the trip is awesome ! The sceneries there are picturesque and gives off a countryside vibe... very peaceful and tranquil. Definitely recommended for people who wants to release their stress ! ;).

After going there, I almost felt like buying a farm there and work as a farmer for the rest of my life there lol. Yes ,that's how powerful the place is . The sceneries there has a therapeutic effect and a strange force that clears your mind off everything ... and truly puts your mind at ease . .. oh and did I mention that it's very chilling there? The temperature there is always below 25 degree. So, even the gentle breeze of the wind is chilling there.

Things You WIll Never Know ~

ALOHA ! Harlow ! Ohayo! Hello ! Hey ! Good Day , good people. How are you guys doing ?:) Again, for the same obvious reason , there have been a serious lack of update for this blog . Should I say the reason again ? Nah.. hmm.. should i ? okay larr for those uninformed, the owner of this blog , aka yours truly is very lazy and has a tendency to procrastinate endlessly *much more especially when it concerns his blog*

Either way , I am back ! but not for long sadly... :( As of now , today marks a new beginning for many students as it is the start of a semester break. First of all , selamat Hari Raya !!! Fortunately, my school ,for whatever silly motive , have decided to apply for 2 weeks of holiday and we got it ! Hoorayy, Yippee !! So, it should be a cause of celebration for many right ? Yes , I mean of course it should be , 2 weeks !! There are so many things one can do in that 2 week, jogging ,go for outdoor activities , learning something new,hang out with friends,indulge in music and movies , etc etc ..

Knowing this , I am sure many would be thrilled and excited for this upcoming holiday * which by the day starts now Lol * Unfortunately , that is not the case for many upper sixth formers in PFS as... what awaits us after the supposed "holiday" is a nightmare.. Nightmare indeed. It is our ASS TEE PEE MMM TRIAL !!!NOOOOOOOO !!!

So , yeah it is like the calm before the storm . Instead of being able to enjoy ourselves and indulge in whatever entertainment we could possibly have, most of us have to crack our head , brain and subsequently our mentality to be a living zombie whose only purpose of life is to devour books for the next 2 week.

In fact , i wouldn't even call it holiday .It should be rephrased as "study break " or as i would like to call it , "zombie time ! " Arghh just thinking of it upsets me to the max. I wanna go out !! I wanna hang out ! I do not wanna be zombie,bookworm ,nerd ..studyfreak.. watever. But wait !! do I have a choice?

Oh silly me of course I do ! :) Fortunately,the answer is .. Yes ! I don't have to study all the time. All that's needed is just a simple change of mentality and the way I think :). Look at the bright side, in this two weeks , I shall be very productive in studying ... oops i mean learning and acquiring information * it sounds less scarier than studying* and at the same time, enjoying myself by doing some sports and healthy exercises..

In fact, this might turn out to be one of the best holiday ever! Yes, just by thinking it this way , I am beginning to feel excited already ! I can feel it... it will be great :) and things do get better when u have another source of motivation...

Post-STPM days !! Yeshhhh!! Just thinking about it send chills down my spine. Ah.. the fun I would have after STPM .I can't even begin to imagine how exciting it will be !! Ah, Life is so amusing and interesting .. Okay. Time's up . It's time to go back to acquiring information :)

I think there won't be much blog posts anymore.. until after exam that is ;) . But who knows? Life works in the most complicated and mysterious way. So,stay tune ! Meanwhile, I shall go back to become bookozombie.
In this two weeks, I hope to do my best and strives for excellence. As for other factors, i leave it to the hand of the higher powers in the universe :). Time shall determine the rest..

But,after exam.. I shall be reborn once more !!! I am so looking forward for it !! ah oh ,meanwhile check this out.. I am currently addicted to the onion emoticons .They are so freaking cute! Just look at tis.. Cute right? :D

I am lucky :)

As of late, there have been many happenings in my life lately , or more specifically , many ups and downs . In fact , at the time of this writing , I had just came back from making one of the big decision concerning my life which is,sadly to say still filled with much uncertainties and risks.

The decision is about my car ;) To those close to me , you would probably know about this already but to those uninformed , my car , Proton Kembara always gets into troubles easily , either by having a weak battery pack , loose wires , weak generators ( which costs a bomb to replace ) .The latest episode in this seemingly unending misery unveils the malfunction of one the cables containing the black oil , thus leading to a black oil leakage.

Upon consultation with the mechanics, we discovered that it would cost nearly 1 k to repair it . After much consideration , finally my parents decided enough is enough . We opt for trading in the kembara.

In the shop , after much much hastle and bustle , I thought I had found the right one, the dream car, affordable , fuel efficient and doesn't look too shabby , appearance wise. The car is... Proton Savvy .

For those keen on tecnical details , it is a hatch-back shaped car which runs on AMT ( automatic manual transmission ),powered by a 1.2 L D-Type SOHC 16-valve engine sourced from Renault
. Hmm, actually i don't even know what tat means, just copy pasted tat from wiki :) but boy, from the looks of its interior and reviews i got from net , this car seems to be not too shabby ain't it ?* ok wait, now before u proton haters out there start throwing spits and spats over how useless and practically pathetic this car is , read first :) )

But somehow, the thing about it running on AMT transmission and engine sourced from Renault just seems to have bad vibes on it . So,i surfed the net for more details. Surprisingly ,my bad vibes earlier turned out to be a premonation . Slowly and steadily, I started uncovering the ugly truths about Savvy.

True enough , everything looks fine from the outside but from what I heard from Savvy users , most,if not all complained that Savvy requires a LOT of maintainance, and they say that some parts of the car are easily spoilt and requires a bomb to replace or fix it . e.g the ignition coil , the amt chip/ comp ( apparently there's a little computer chip inside which enables the AMT transmission and this little chip / gadget requires around a few thousand ringgits to fix it if it did break down )

That's the turning point . After seeing that , I immediately called the dealer to look for other available cars.Before I closed my research though , a little comment in the net caught my attention though , it goes like something along this line " If you wanna get a savvy, might as well opt for hyundai getz or chevrolet aveo " At that time, I didn't really care much about it as I was getting my bouts of depression because I am at loss of which car to choose as my options are limited and my budget constraint is pretty tight.

But today, after school , I went to the car dealer shop with my family and guess what , the dealer recommended a car that just arrives recently ... Guess what car is tat ? Hyundai Getz and Chevrolet Aveo !!! Imagine the look at my face... I was flabbergasted , completely shocked and numb upon seeing those cars. Is it some sort of revelation ? And what's more is that price is reasonable and the features of the car are pretty neat ;) + i have good vibes with it.

But the only thing that bothers me is its maintainance fee and spare part problems. Will it have problems easily like my kembara? or will it run smoothly hassle free for years to come ? That is the question i pose to the car dealer and he laughs it off saying " Of course it will have problems,every car have problems ! It just depends on can it be overcomed or not and the ans is yes "

Again, i felt like this is another revelation . Upon hearing that , all my bad vibes disappeared completely. The truth hurts but true enough , in this world , there are no such thing risk-free . Everything we do comes with a certain uncertainties and risks of being damaged/ spoilt / harmed in one way or another. The best we can do is just to minimize the risk , we cannot avoid risks.Knowing that , I begin to think that risks are mere opportunities that drives you to grow and overcome it , learning to be a better person along the journey . Maybe it is designed to be that way all along , just that some pessimistists interpret risks as something unlucky that were meant to push them down and drove them into the abyss of darkness.

It's amazing how my mood can change ..just yesterday I was suffering from pangs of depressions ,grief and sorrow and now i am happy again ;) Anyway, I just wanted to say I am really lucky to have such exceptionally caring parents ,though sometimes our mindsets and generation gap might set us going against each other, but deep inside their heart , i know they care for us the most.. thank you ! :)

Oh btw, i end up buying the Hyundai Getz in the end. This time, hopefully things will work out well =) .

Kai Chia's Farewell.

Just a moment ago, I just went to Penang International Airport to bid my friend farewell before she goes US to find her .. aherm* . Either way, it was my first time being there and it was rather amazing and surreal. I mean , the whole experience , even the long journey there is worth it .

Thanks to Soo Peng for fetching me there and back !! She made me realise , girls are actually not that bad after all Lol. xD Anyway, let us begin. * P.s As i just came back from the journey , my mind is still fresh and memories about the whole experience is still intact ,so,peeps,expect a lot of words here :D*

Anyway, kai chia , I dunno if you would ever read this , but you know, you are one of the best friend I have ever meet =) . I mean seriously , which girl is good enough to listen to my endless rants , give ideas and suggestions whenever I had some crazy bad thoughts /ideas , be able to crap on par with me , no wait crap Better than me ,and teach me all the bad,crazy stuff Lol XD * ok this wasn't in the list but hey U did taught me a lot of not so good things XD *

Evidently,your knowledge and experience are far greater than me and thus occasionally , I would be annoying you with my endless torrent of questions in many aspects including relationship , academic , everyday life ,and just plain rantings.And every single time, you would always be there to answer me no matter how nonsensical and ridiculous the questions may be.For your saintly patience *or maybe coz u gt ntg better to do lol * for entertaining me all these while , I say thank you =D.

You were also among one of the friendliest friend ever . *well exclude juey la she's on a diff level XD*For all the times you fetched me back when I don't have a car yet ,and for all the activities you invited me and the happy memories we shared. Thank you !! thank you mom !! :)

Last but not least, may you be blessed with great health and happiness there. Though, I don't think I need to even wish you that ,as you already have papa there right ? :P Anyway,best of luck in US =) .

Orientation Ball 2010 !

ALOHA, HELLO, Konichiwa ~ hey hey hey, wassup guys :D again, sorry for the erm expected delay and procrastination of blogging this after a few weeks this event has ended. Well, this should be expected since it's yours truly who owns this blog :P.

Nevertheless, all the hype and excitement still lives on ,and so let us begin. Saturday , 24th of July shall forever be etched into my memories as one of the most memorable day in my entire school life.It was on that very day that the Demasquer La Nuit (which translates loosely into Masquarade Night ) ,theme for orientation ball 2010 for pfs was held =).

It was unbelievably fun and amusing . Certainly , for those who went on that day, it shall be a night all of us will never forget .

A lot of things happened that night. We danced, we twisted, and we enjoyed like crazy.Unfortunately,the merciless time marched on relentlessly, and soon the night came to an end.

Well,it seems that after weeks of procrastination, the passion to blog about it just dies off lol. so.. Just enjoy the pics for now! :D

Personal Truth

The glaring sunlight piercing through the deep blue sky ,the gentle breeze caressing my cheek ,and the picturesque,scenic nature's wonders that look right through my eyes ,into my heart . It's amazing how one's perspective can change just by walking around one's neighbourhood.

All these little yet significant things that I wouldn't have noticed had I drove out . Today, being the mundane Sunday morning ,I decided to make that little effort to get out from my lazy chair and to walk out to eat.

It has been a long time since I last walked around my area.Walking is a wonderful activity you know, especially when the surrounding environment where you are walking/jogging in are a peeaceful neighbourhood surrounded with beautiful wonders of nature.Staring at the serene skies, noticing how those shapeless clouds slowly moving, grouping to form something . Just by doing that , my mind is cleared of all the troubles and worries.Here are some pictures taken around my neighbourhood.



Recently,I saw an article about personal truth.What is personal truth ? Personal truth is something that your whole self-heart,body,soul,and brain- recognises and accept as an universal truth.Here's an excerpt from the article .

" For instance, many people's personal truth might be " There's nothing better to alleviate stress than a good,deep,sleep ",while some people may opt for " nothing reduces stress like a good food .

One great truth,handed down from the Romans , is "This,too,will pass" or as Kipling put it ,we have to deal with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same ".

The one sure thing,the one bedrock truth in life,is that everything changes.Now, do you know your own personal truths yet?

I know you must have some of your own ."when in doubt " is a good phrase to use to uproot a truth that will help you. When in doubt ,find and eat some great food.When in doubt,remain silent . When in doubt, go to bed and sleep.When in doubt , talk about it.

And one of my favourites is " When in doubt, stop and say thank you for something, anything " No matter how dark life feels, there is always something to be gratful for , and I know that's true . "

It differs from people to people.There are so many varieties of them , but well , you get the idea of it now don't you ? :) Basically , personal truths are things that you know it to be true and full heartedly believe in it.It's useful to remind ourselves how much we do know,and sobering to realise that even when we do know something, we don't always act on it .

I believe that procrastination is the thief of time. But still I do little in avoiding the bad influences of procrastination.These personal truths are useful as they serve as a reminder and guidelines in life to help us move forward, and I think it's important that people realise its existence :) .

Here are some of my list of personal truths :
1) Great songs cheer me up at any time of the day :D
2)Just being alone in a quiet, tranquil ,cosy environment , clears my mind and relaxes me
3)Saying that I will play just one dota game and spend the rest of my day studying is nonsensical.
4) same goes to just switching on computer to go online for awhile and spend the rest studying. Nonsense.
5)It takes time to unlearn bad habits and keep the new good habits . Without motivation,it could never have been possible.
6) No one can stay happy or sad all the time , it's just that everyone's transition time to change from one mood to another varies. :D

Teacher's Birthday

Staring at the wristwatch , awaiting time to pass by faster so that the bell would ring ,marking the end of the mundane , boring lesson.Normally, that would be the routine during my everday school life. However, on Friday , 9th of July, things were a little bit different . It was Hari Waris Jaya. * sorry i dunno what it's called in English* Anyway, on that day, there would practically be no lesson as it is the day where all the dedicated and committed parents will come to school to ask about their son/daughter's performance and attitude in school.

Lucky for me , my parents are the types that don't give a damn about shits like this :D If there's one thing that I would be thankful for ,it would be that my laziness is a direct inheritance from them xD. Anyway, moving on . So, if there's no lesson , why the hell would I go to school on a fine friday morning instead of sleeping and daydreaming on my bed happily ?

The answer is because.... it was our form teacher's BIRTHDAY ! :D Holla ! It is at times like this that the ppl from my class would be united for a brief moment .Our Form Teacher, Pn Jumaiyah has been a great and patient teacher , though she's a new trainee teacher, we appreciate her hardworking effort and her saintly patient to be able to stand the outrageous attitudes of the students in my class. * yup that includes me *

For that , on her birthday , we planned a surprise birthday party for her.Okay,now,for the most anticipated moment , the pictures ~

King And I

Holla ! Good day people ! Sorry, it has taken so long for yours truly to actually had the energy to get out from his lazy chair and started blogging . =) Procrastination really is a force to be reckoned with,especially much so when one have been practising it for the past 18 years lol.

Anyway, moving on. As promised on the last blog post. I shall be blogging about the "King And I" play produced and acted by the talented casts of Penang Free School . On 4th of July 2010, SMK Penang Free had staged a play entitled "King And I " in Dewan Sri Pinang.

Basically , this story revolves around the King of Siam,acted by pfs student ,Brian John Dorai,acting the kind but ignorant king that thinks that men are greater than women in every aspect and that women's only role is to entertain and teach men.While the main actress, Charisma, acted as Anna, the sophisticated,modern English teacher that came from England at the request of the King of Siam to educate his children.

I must say , I was rather amazed at their performance.Frankly speaking ,having seen their rehearsals in school hall, I was just expecting an average performance, just slightly above average at their best .However, I was blowed away when the play started.It really is gratifying to see that pfs managed to stage a play of this quality given its deteriorating status.Judging from the positive feedbacks from the audience, I say that the tradition of the play isn't going away anytime soon =). Okay ,enough comments, here are some pictures and video to entertain u guys who happened to miss this grand production :D

This has been a week full of surprises. I mean really big surprises. It has been one hell lot of emotional roller coaster I have been undergoing tis week. But then again, since when do I not been on emotional roller coaster in any week? ok enough nonsense.. now, for rants and news.

Let's start with the bad news ok ? Recently,one of my friend's mom has just passed away. So, I would like to dedicate this post to her.Life can be so fragile at times. One second you might be working,having fun,doing whatever you like like there's no tomorrow and another second you might be dead . That's how unexpected and unfair life is.Why must good ,honest ,down-to-earth have to be called home so fast while some pathetic,despicable creatures donning the human mask continue to run around causing chaos and wreaking havoc. It's unfair really.My friend is a great guy, he's humble and modest and in reality, one of the best friend I have ever known so far. Now that such calamity befalls him , I wonder how he would survive. Nevertheless, I know he will make it . May everything be well for him and his family. *Names have been hidden to preserve the privacy of my friend. I don't feel it is appropriate to say it out "

Alright, moving on.I have had a few surprises this week. Happy surprises,luckily.Recently, I have been involved in a kinda big project of charity involving big guns in the society and I am rather honoured to be able to learn and work from them . Details on the project shall be revealed soon =D. And there are times when my mood swing goes extremely crazy when I felt like being at top of the world , everything within my reach and grasp . It's a nice feeling really . And there are times where I would just lie back ,relax and wonders and ponders about every little thing in life..

In reality, I felt extremely grateful and gratified that I have been blessed with whatever I am having now. Though at times I would still have the feeling of envy over others,but hey, nobody is perfect right ?=) Given the opportunities I have been offered and the great friends I am having now ,who am I to complain ? Nevertheless, I still strive to be happier and more successful in life.Ok, enough of stupid nonsense. Here are some pictures to entertain you bastards who don't like blog with a lot of words . =p
