School Life

Ah... it has been nearly 7 months already since the last of my schooling days. How did time managed to pass so fast ? In a blink of an eye, so much things had been done yet , the feeling of emptiness still lingers deep down in my heart. I am starting to miss school. No, not the endless nagging and homeworks that tortured me . Is it the companionship and sense of belonging at school.

Upon reading an article about youth camp lately, it provoked the thought of my own camp experiences, back when I was still schooling. There's something special about participating in an event with many of your peers together, having fun , enjoying themselves like it's the last day on earth.I miss it now.. The sports days , the cheering of your schoolmates in the 100 m run , the club activities, the gatherings, everything .

In retrospect, I wasn't much of an active person. Not passive enough to be called socially inept or reclusive ,but I definitely wasn't the most popular or happening student back at school . I did not actively seek out opportunities and involve myself in most club activities back in form 1 , much to the chagrin of my present self. It was only till around form 4 did my sense of curiosity managed to bring me out of my comfort zone and awakened the wild , active side of me. And oh boy, am I glad it did , for it was in that particular period of time that I enjoyed the most .

The overwhelming sense of achievement and victory when you won something or did something that garners loud cheers from people , the pathetic sense of defeat and uselessness when you did some mistakes or wrongdoings. I love them all.. It is said that only when you had felt the pain of defeat, will you know the bittersweet taste of victory. How true it is. I am so glad that I broke away from my empty lonely shell.

However, looking back ,I would definitely have enjoyed more of my schooling life had I be active earlier, perhaps back in Form 1 ? Again, it's one of those " If only I.." moments that struck the deepest part of your heart. How I wished I could go back to Form 1 again and relive my life as a secondary student ,albeit this time, with a big difference ;).

But then again, who knows what could have happened if I did that? After all, life is always unpredictable and besides, it's practically impossible to do that.Hence, I have to settle for the next best option , accept what has transpired and move on in hope of a better future.

Now this is pragmatic and applicable.. As of now, I am waiting for my university application result. If all goes well, I hope that I can be able to get some great lifelong friends and have a lot of fun in uni. This time,I will definitely be proactive and participate in everything. So, until then... pray for me people :) .

Looking Back

This post materialized thanks to the sudden motivation and outpouring of creative juice oozing out after I read some thought-provoking articles in The Star. The two articles I read about depicts the troubles of life. One of them is about how a young mother finding her roles being reversed as her parents fell sick and she had to take care of them instead of the usual . Another article talks about how people are getting more and more distant thanks to the emergence of new technologies like facebook ,twitter and etc. .. Here goes nothing :) .

******
I have been bedridden these few days thanks to the severe eye infection that leads to conjunctivitis that subsequently results in abrasions in the skin near my eyes. This results in my left eye being swollen to the extent that I can't even go out or go near any devices that emits light because sunlight or any other light sources will only serve to aggravate the situation apparently. In fact, I am supposed to be recuperating in bed now as I type. Oh by the way , now is 12.20 am in the morning :) . Ah,motivations to blog comes at the strangest of times indeed..

Now, in recent days , in recent months , to be more specific , I have been striving for perfection. Not that I am confident that I will achieve it , but nevertheless I tried because, at the end of the day, at the very least I can proudly say I made effort right ? And by "striving for perfection" I mean trying to improve oneself by any means necessary. So, the most rudimentary aspects to work on would be the physical , emotional , and spiritual part ,

So, for the past few months , I have been working out *or tries to * on my body , reading more stuff and trying to learn and pick up whatever skills I can . In my mind, there are only two things that I are thinking of , that is "productive" and "non-productive". I view activities like reading books , working out , learning new things as productive stuff , while stuff like watching movies, going cc , rotting at home , playing as counter productive. Now, before any of you start hurling accusations and pointing out that I did all the counter productive activities too , I would like to say that indeed those activities are vital and important as they are means to socialize and to stay connected with friends and others , but too much of them are just redundant and may even diminish productivity .

Now I would be very frank now as I don't think many reads this blog and even fewer of my friends actually do read it. I am very judgmental person . And yes I do judge people by their looks first before dwelling further into their "contents" . I am a very vain person too , if that's the word you would choose to describe someone who cares about his appearance . I wasn't like that back in the past . I used to be someone who don't give a damn care about my own appearance. It is only in recent years that I discovered this important and necessary aspect of life.

I might possibly be hurled many criticisms and blames for these but then again, my conscience is clear and in my defense , I am just stating the actual cruel realities of the world. Anyone reading this, I dare you to look yourself in the mirror and ask , are you sure there are NO INSTANCES at all where you don't check out other people's physical appearance and start scrutinizing them and making random assumptions in your brains before getting to know them for real ?

The truth is , people DO judge other people by their cover , no matter how they try to deny it . In fact, I believe people who deny it are mere hypocrites. No matter what we say , the first thing that comes to mind when me meet a person is their first impression : i.e how they dress, how they present themselves and etc. That is what I meant by "covers" .Physical appearances can reveal a lot of thing about someone. For example, if someone comes to a business meeting with an unkempt hair and a casual look , naturally people will assume that person is either nuts or has a lack of care attitude for others.

We will always be judged by how we look and how we present ourselves. Moreover, the sad fact is that the better looking person will always end up getting better opportunities. I read an article about how better looking peoples are always preferred and more favored given that the other conditions and environments remains the same. Life is naturally unfair , some people just have that edge over the others . However , even if we can't decide how we are born , at the very least we can decide how can live life . We can always find ways to improve our features or at least make effort to.

After knowing that , I tried hard to change myself * still trying albeit getting a bit more lazy lately* knowing that it IS possible and changes can occur. I am about to engrave this pricinple in my head that whatever that generates positive changes are productive and whatever that don't, are merely redundant and counter productive. Therefore, I was kinda agitated when I see how some of the people I know are spending time doing nonsensical stuff like playing the whole day , going out everyday .. and other "counter productive" stuff. Although it's not my right to barge into their life and take control , I can't help but think ... "what are they really doing with their life? What will they gain from doing those stuffs?" They are practically wasting their life away.

The more I think , the more I am confused. And then .. it came. The wake-up call and the answer to this question. As mentioned afore , I was reading the articles from The Stars and one of them talks about how an onslaught of problems came suddenly . And then it hit me. In life , we will never know about the future. It is totally unpredictable and we can never be totally prepared for them . So, what we can do is just to enjoy the present moments and hope for a better tomorrow.

So, maybe those people who are hanging out everyday are enjoying their life ? Maybe they are happy staying the way they are? Who knows ? This brings me to another point . As we grow older, our circle of friends grew wider . More so in this age of modern technology era with the emergence of facebook and such , we have more "friends" than we would have possibly made in past decade .Heck , I have one friend who have 5 k friends in her friend list. FIVE THOUSAND? Is that even possible ?

Nevertheless, as we grew older, our thoughts began to mature, and we began to really grew up and see the world for what it really is , and our so called "friends" will slowly diminish . The second article talks about this and it was very thought-provoking as you read and began askin questions.. Will the friends from primary school remember you ? Did I make effort to stay in contact with them ? What would happen in the next 10 years to come? Will they still remember me?

The fact is , as time marches on relentlessly , memories tends to fade and people will forget you eventually. That's inevitable unless you try to make effort to stay connected and constantly remind them that you exist in their life . It gets me thinking again then. Is there any point at all to do that ? With facebook , almost everyone knows what you are doing or what's happening in your life recently if you post them up , but are they all your friends?

True friends lend their ears and offer shoulders to lean on when you need them and shares your joy and sorrow from times to times. They know how you are feeling and how you would act in situations. They are those that have been with you through thick and thins, knowing all your best attributes and embarrassing secrets and idiosyncrasies that you have. And last but not least ... true friends stay connected no matter how long they didn't talk to or hanged out. They are people who you can engage a conversation with and talk without noticing how fast time passes.

When I was young , I got a silly dream that when I grow up , I would be able to meet a group of true friends that will be my lifelong friends . We would be able to share any secret and would be able to do the wackiest and craziest of things and just by being with them , I would be happy. Oh, and did I mention that among that group there would be one pretty girl who would be the love of my life ? And we would be together as a couple and be happy forever and ever , accompanied by the other lifelong friends of course. Silly isn't it ?

When I grew up now, life doesn't seem that much colourful anymore. What's with all the bombardment of discrimination , prejudice, backstabbing and myriads of troublesome people and issues we have to deal with ? Still , life isn't all that bleak. The future still shines and I still have faith in my dream. Even right now, I think I already found a few of these lifelong friends , though it's still far from my silly dream. Even so , I will continue to dream , as dreams are our source of motivation and aspirations .

I am grateful for what I possess now , but I do believe that things can still be improved. So, to those reading this now, I appeal to all of you , please do keep your dreams alive :) and stick to it ! Hopefully , one day when I have finally achieved the dream , I would look back at this post and say " damn , the old me is really optimistic huh and such a dreamer too , but hey it worked ! " . Oh and by the way , in the meantime , I would be spending more time hanging out and doing some of the "redundant : stuffs.. because.. what the heck , I can't be productive all the time can't I ? XD Until next time !! Whee~

April 2011

HOLA! KONICHIWA !! HELLO!!!! How long has it been already ? a few months ? Ah doesn't matter , this blog is almost dead already anyway ,save for some occasional, mindless spams at the chatbox .

Ahhh 2011 , and it's already April ! Gosh, how time flies. Looking back at the last post , it is evident that I am guilty of updates for the past 3 months. I concede. Guilty as charged. But again , in my defence , I would like to point out that there is basically not much happenings in the past few months, hence the lack of updates :D. Excuses much .. hmm human nature.

Alright , moving right along ~ So, what has really been going on ? After I resigned from my last job , I quickly shifted to another job that is as a mobile phone accessories reseller at New World Park , which is quite a nice job that pays handsomely ( rm 1 k per month ,for just 6 hours per day and 5 days per week ) *why did I even think of quitting ? ! damnation! *But alas, my inquisitive nature to experience and explore other jobs lead me to quit.. errr change job to my present job . *Excuses again ! * I wonder if it's just me or I just cannot stand working long at a job, any job . It seems that anything I do would bore me after a short while and would leave me thinking of going for other alternatives by any means necessary. In fact, I once point out that I am changing job every month and hope to do so for the months to come, leading my friend to remark that I am a job-hopper.

Then again,is this really a bad thing ? No doubt if i just leave suddenly , some employers will be left without work force and I have responsibility to perform and commit to the job for a certain period of time, but if I prepared other people to fill in my void in my absence, wouldn't that be alright ? :D .Moreover,if I did successfully change jobs every month , it would mean that by the end of tis year , or more precisely in September, I would have ventured into 9 different careers , gaining valuable insights and experiences from diverse jobs . Also, I would be able to disprove the popular notion regarding lack of job opportunities . Who is to say that there are no jobs if I have successfully changed jobs every month until September ?

But of course... all these are just extrapolations ... logical guesses made from creative deduction with a little surplus of imagination :D .Anyway, presently I am working at Kumon Learning Center as a teaching assistant. Teaching assistant , which means I will be teaching right? Nope. Dead wrong. Apparently there are only two teachers there, and all we part timers so called teaching assistants will do are just helping to mark their worksheets .. Sounds easy? Nope. Wrong again. The working experience there might be nice at first because , firstly I only work for 4 hours but after awhile .. like everything else I ventured in previously , it got boring .

Worse still , at Kumon, they truly believe silence is golden and hence, we are not allowed of communication even if we sit side by side. Hence, it's a dreadful ,torturous 4 hours of silence everytime I work... Now I kinda miss my old jobs , Sigh , communications ~ But all in all , I would say that there are perks working there. Now at the very least I can proudly claim that I have been called a teacher ! *even though i rarely teach .. but hey answering questions when they are directed to u counts right? :D * And the system and method of learning they adapted is truly one to marvel with . I am amazed . And of course, as usual , I am exaggerating.. we do talk sometimes but only at minimal volume and for a very short interval . By the way , working there have really opened my eyes to the world of kids today.

It's unbelievable how they act nowadays. What's with the advanced gizmos like iphone 4 doing in the hand of a small , young 7 year old kid? Gosh what are those parents thinking today -.- . Maybe they have been pampered too much to the extend that they think it's their rights to demand everything from everyone in this world. Now , I wonder what kind of people they will grow up into... Oh wait , that reminds me .. remember those egoistic , think-they-deserve-it-all people that I ranted about several posts earlier? Now I can see where they came from ;).

Anyway, I do not think that I will change jobs after this eventhough I really wanted to . I am not really satisfied but when I started working , I already told my employer that I would be able to work until June at worst , and September as best . Not that there is any contract preventing me from resigning but it wouldn't do my conscience any good if I just left suddenly right? Oh well.. guess I am stuck with it for now. Like it or loathe it , I still have to work.. so might as well find a job with least working time so that I can use the other time productively right? :D

******
Talking about free time... What do you people do during your free time ? I mean, of course apart from the studying *if you are still studying * and events * you can't possibly have events everyday right? wait... can you ? * And don't you even begin to say online, facebook and games. Sigh, where are you productive teenagers ? What are u all doing , really ?

Recently , I am kinda frustrated at communication tools such as msn and facebook. Not at the system and tools themselves, but more to the people using it. I am utterly confused as to why some people might choose to reply you in a nonchalant manner. Almost as if they thinks you are interested in them and choose to play hard to get and reply u and entertaining u only when it suits their mood and purpose.

I know, I might be a little bit too paranoid over this and it might be the overthinking but still I can't help but feel those bad vibes coming from them ,and yeah , I have been generally good with my instincts when it comes to sensing vibes . I fail to understand how they are so self-centered in thinking they are so important and significant that the whole world needs to know about them and serve them in any means possible . It is pathetic and outright deplorable and despicable.

Bawh, but again, maybe it's because of my bad experiences of dealing with these type of people that make me thinks too much but if this goes on , I guess the best possible solution is to cease communication with them and just ignore it :) . I am getting rather tired of connecting with people who are reluctant to communicate yet expecting the rest to know it all .Pff guess I shall go into some isolation period for some time ;D
***
On a lighter note , my latest obsession lately have been bodybuilding and recently , I have been able to borrow a very nice book courtesy to my good friend working in Borders. The mentioned book is 4 hour body by timothy ferriss , the tagline of the book caught my attention "an uncommon guide to rapid fat loss, incredible sex and becoming superhuman " err.. skip the sex part k , i borrowed the book for the building body guide and oh, of course to become superhuman as well. xD

Here are some of the excerpts from this book ..
"1 . Is it possible that the arrow of causality is reversed ? i.e : do people who are naturally ripped often choose to be sprinters? Yep.
2.Are we mixing up presence and absence? i.e : people claim that no-meat diet extends average lifespan 5-15%,is it possible that the presence of more vegetables, not absence of meat that extends lifespan? Yep
The point isn't to speculate about hundreds of possible explanation , the point is to be skeptical . Correlation does not equal causality . Be skeptical when people tell u A causes B . Most likely they are wrong much more than 50% of the time . "
- from the chapter Rules that change rules.

"The minimum effective dose ( MED ) is defined simply : the smallest dose that will produce desired outcome . Anything beyond MED is wasteful . i.e to boil water the MED is 100 °CHigher temperature will not make it "more boiled". If u need 15 minutes in the sun to trigger melanin response, 15 minutes is ur MED for tanning . More than that is redundant . "
-from the chapter Minimum Effective Dose.

This book is highly recommendable and will definitely be worth reading . Try it ! Alright , that's all for now.. until the next mood swing to impromptu blogging ! Tee Hee ! XD

HAPPY CNY :D

YAHOOOO!!! YIPPEEE!!! Finally ,January is over and February is taking over. And this means... It's CHINESE NEW YEAR TIME!.YAHOO YIPEEE!!! but hey... is it really that fun ? I am sure most of you would be rejoicing and go crazy at the mere mention of cny tis year. Heck, I would be too,if I don't have cheesy and oh so "lovable" relatives and the ever annoying cousins .
So, yeah , apart from the fact that I will be getting ang pows and eating steamboat, there's really nothing much that I will enjoy in cny ;). For those who knew me close enough, you would certainly know that I dread cny and hope it ends faster. . I wonder how many shares my thoughts ? :)

Either way ,let's not indulge in this moody atmosphere shall we? or else I would certainly be crowned king of emo by a certain someone again :P.

The end of January marks the end of my working days in p1 wimax. It is supposed to be something to be celebrated and rejoiced over but somehow I just felt emptiness and dull feelings after I stop working @@. Ahh , but I digressed, alas it's still a good experience and tons of great memories and friends I have made during my work are more than enough to put a smile to my face :) .

It kinda makes me sad having to leave them :( . But to continue working there for longer time would be counter-productive and some of them are working in different branch anyway so.. a temporary retreat from work would be the best choice now :D * i prefer not to use the word quit :P*

Ok... without further ado, here's some pictures to entertain you guys :D Again.. pics of my colleagues and the crazy things we do at work :). Enjoy !! :)

The above 3 pictures showed our booth at... wait for it.. PASAR MALAM*gasp*
yeah.. can u believe it ? Would anyone buy modem in nite market? Ridiculous huh. anyway, it was a new experience :) in case u are wondering, these pics are taken from sg ara nite market .

This is how we work :). Don't let this pic fool u .. tis gal here's a freaking good promoter. Too good infact lol.

Alright, that's all for now.. more pics will be uploaded soon :) For now, HAPPY CNY and May YOU be blessed with much ang pows and prosperous days ahead :DDD STAY HAPPY peeps ^^

Adulthood

Sigh,it's that time of the year again, here comes the dreaded school life . Wearing green/white school pants, having a crew cut hairstyle ,carrying big bad school bads filled with thick books containing facts and figures you know you will never enjoy reading , and facing the same teachers giving the same monotonous, mundane lesson that is bound to keep you sleepy the entire time. ....

****

But wait ! This year is different . All that has already passed and now is just a distance dream of the yesteryears. It's amazing how one could miss the things that we used to hate and dread , just praying that it would pass faster. This year, the wind of change really did came and blew me away. And then it hit me, the obvious , palpable realization that I would never be able to go back wearing that silly school pants and donning that equally awkward school uniform finally comes to my head.

Love it or hate it, I have reached another stage of life... , the one that is touted as the most fluctuating period of life, the one where the major changes will take place and determine the future of your life.Yes ,people , it's the ADULTHOOD.As much as I hate to admit it , I am no longer the teenager that could escape all responsibilities and just push away the work to the "adults" .As far as I am concerned . teenagers are supposed to enjoy life and just leave the harsh hard works behind for adults , but at the same time, when we are teens, we tend to envy those power and authority that adults yield, particularly our parents.

O how I wish I could just have a credit car, drive a big cars, etc etc.. you know.. the power to make decisions without telling anyone. But those powers comes with responsibilities .. As adults now, we are expected to be responsible for our every actions, expected to be more independent, and to be able to clean after our own mess, with no help whatsoever.

Yes, the "superhero-like" powers that the adults yield, is a double-edged sword, as the consequences of yielding them poorly would backfire anytime and come haunting u back in the form of responsibilities. And this statement is most evident and rings most true when one started working.

Gone are the days where we are carefree and stressfree, only having to think about studying and nothing else.Ok, don't get me wrong , I am not saying being teenagers is easy * heck i experienced my fair share of troubles being the problematic angst-ridden teen* but try adulthood, and well , working , and I doubt any of you would disagree with the phrase studying is better than working.*unless your job involves super high salary and you are being paid to do ntg :D *

This year, having my second working experience, I believe I can finally express the woes and rants of working people better... Okay , now the next part of this post will focus solely on my 2nd working exp *with pictures too!* So, feel free to comment and share your own working experience too if you had any :D

****

Under recommendation from friend , I decided to take up this job as P1 Wimax Promoter , working under an event management company. Having worked once before, I could already anticipate the standard working hours of around 8 hours, but what I couldn't anticipate is how BORING the job is . Before I elaborate further, don't get me wrong , it's a nice job alright,in fact u could even say it's a dream job for many.

Some of its many privileges includes : just sitting down on the booth alloted , playing with your laptop, fb-ing whole day or chat with friends whole day , and know that you are getting PAID for doing it . Heck, you could even play games during work and yea i wouldn't really call it work. The only real "working" time is when customers come asking for the packages you are supposed to be promoting.

The job scopes includes, standing up whole day and promoting the broadband packages, with 40% being the commision should you successfully signed the customer. So,yeah , isn't it nice?Just imagine the idea of rotting away for 8 hours or read books or whatever crap you can think of . Basically you are given 8 free hours, and you are being paid !!
My work space at Sunshine Square.
*P.s the notebook belongs to my boss, and I only get to use it once :(*

And oh, did I mention that the basic salary is RM 1 k ? Sounds too good to be true? But no , I am not lying. This is seriously one of the best job ever. But then, why would I say it's boring then?

All of the above can be done ok ... except for one thing, I don't have a laptop !!! and no they do not provide laptop. Weird huh? Hence, the boring-ness. And some of the booths are not strategically placed, resulting in almost no sales at all per day .So far, I have worked at several places ,including , Bukit Jambul Complex, Sunshine Square, and P1tstop ,which is the p1 headquarter near Queensbay Mall.

Generally , it really is an okay job, save the fact that I don't really dig the long working hours, because the shift 12-9 isn't really appealing. Coupled with the fact that certain booths like the one in BJ, featuring not-so-favourable environment .
Our booth in sunshine square, and yes,
the bakery shop is just right behind our booth.

But all in all , all factors considered, this job really isn't that bad. It really did opened my eyes to alot of things . And it gave me several new questions to ponder and wonder as well. One of the biggest question being " How do promoters or security guards survive? * I mean seriously, I worked just for a few hours and I am already ran out of entertainment to keep me sane. Those guards worked from 9am to 9pm !! Freaking 12 hours, and they have to stand , the WHOLE DAY!! What kept them going? Is it the money ? Is it because they got no other choice? Or Is it because they loved it ?*@.@ i couldn't imagine someone who loves standing for 12 hours and doing nothing though* Nevertheless ,it totally awed me and inspire me in a certain way .
Funny how the streamyx shop is just opposite our booth. Ironic huh ? :D

K,think I should stop this now, should my boss see this and fire me on the spot lol.Either way, working has indeed been beneficial and lead me outside my comfort zone. Besides, it gave me an opportunity to look at this world from another lens, through the lens of a promoter. I never realise being promoter is this hard. So.. here's a shoutout to the promoters : You guys rocks !!! Next time I see any of you, I would take your brochures and pamphlets or whatsoever , and try to buy your product whenever possible,as a customer .But for now , it's back to 8 hours of standing and doing nothing :). Till the next post, cya ~

Hello 2011.

Ah.. again, finally, it's THAT time of the year again. It's that time that marks the end of the past, and a beginning of a new future. Yes,peeps, 2010 is finally over, and 2011 has dawned upon us. As I bid farewell to the turbulent days in 2010 and usher in the incoming 2011 ,I can't help but having a mixed feeling , as I always do :)

Alright, moving on , along with the end of 2010, comes this compulsary reflection of the past years and resolutions of the new year . So, yeah, 2010 has been a hell of a time. *lol sorry I just couldn't find a better way to put it :P* It has been a very dramatic year so to speak. Like other previous years ,this year displayed much elements of life, namely, the elements of suspense, shock, anticipation, gloom, despair, hope and most of all the element of completion..

Unsurprisingly , the feeling of anticipation and suspense holds true for most of the year as this is year I took STPM , and completed it subsequently, hence the element of completion. It was indeed a great joy to know that you had just completed something big .Honestly though , I do not miss Form Six life at all. Sure, there are some happy times here and there ,but those are nothing compared to the hell I suffered.

I am happy.Happy that I finally completed this two years of painful , torturous hell. Happy that I finally can proceed on to the "real" world , to march on to adulthood and pursue my tertiary education.Happy that I can finally break free from the small world, the small comfort zone that I have created back then. And most of all, needless to say, I am euphoric that I finally completed one of the hardest examination in the world :).

That being said, of course I still need to give credit to some of the good friends that are always there for me, cheering me up , doing silly stuffs with me , and just being the plain awesome friends u guys/girls are :) Though I would say that I missed the aftermath of spm more, I would still cherish the moments I had in sixth form. Afterall,it is these experiences and moments that would help nurture and groom me into better man. And I strongly believes all the troubles and problems that I faced in sixth form life, has just shaped me into better ,stronger man :). They say, those that doesn't kill simply makes you stronger. I am a strong advocate of that quote.

Ok, I guess that's all for reflections. I am sorry if this sounds quite depressed because, yeah I did wrote it using a rather negative tone. BUT this year(2011) will be different.A friend of mine keep stressing to me that she will definitely make sure 2011 will be a much better year than 2010. And I find it very motivating ! ^^ *if u are reading this, well u know who u are , fishie lol XD* So , yeah gambatte to you !! And to me too coz definitely,I will personaly make sure this year will be a much more awesome-er ,fabulous-er , fantastic-er year than 2010 :).

Resolutions this year includes :
  1. Work Out more. No more skinny bags of bones.. A man's gotta grow if he wishes to step into adulthood
  2. Be more productive * learn to multitask and juggle more things at once.Less gaming , More productive activities !*
  3. Never stop learning, Continue to quench the thirst of learning, embarking in a neverending quest of knowledge.Hmm.. sounds geekish? Not so. There's so much thing I wanna learn. Compute programming, Mandarin, Piano , Music theories, Dancing. etc.

Hmm, I guess I will just leave it at 3 . Though, this 3 seems more than enough to cover the entire year's worth of activity. And given, I don't even think I can complete them all =.-. But hey, one can always hope and pray right? :)

This year seems to offer more window of opportunities as time and flexibility are both on my side . Last but not least, I am indeed very joyful that 2011 has finally arrived, and I expect many great things to happen ,now that I finaly stepped into the realm of adulthood. No more fooling around, and more responsibility will come,as with power and wisdom :).Hopefully things will be flowing smoothly this time ,and I would finally attain the happiness I have been wanting so much..

Alas, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU READERS :DDD and may your new year resolutions will be realised too. Let's work together for a brighter future !! WOO hooo~~ cheers to 2011!!

Merry Christmas

Yes.. folks, it's THAT time of the year again.. Time where all the hustle and bustles of the city are being cast aside in favour of peace and tranquility . Time where all the busy people in the city seems to stop moving fast and start going at a slower pace.. It's the joyous occasion where people gather and unite ,forgive and forget , and celebrate and rejoice over the fact that we have survived yet another year...Yes,it's CHRISTMAS!! Say hello to SANTA !!!

Dear readers *if there are any lol *, how do you all celebrate your christmas ? Is it with family? Friends? Partners? Or for some unfortunate souls out there who are still busy celebrating it with work? No matter how you celebrate it or who you celebrate it with, I hope you all had a mirthful and joyful christmas :)

As for yours truly... I had to celebrate christmas with 3 of my worst friends , namely ... COUGH, FLU, and Eye Infection @.@ . So much for a joyous chrismas huh haha.. Actually, the former two isn't that disastrous, it is the latter one, * the eye infection* that kills. The eye infection on my left eye virtually renders me useless, handicapped, and deprived of any entertainment which uses sight .. which means.. EVERYTHING, well almost.

I can't play games, I can't use computer, I can't read novels, heck i could barely open my ;left eye =.- .So, yeah for one whole day ,the only thing I could do is to lie down on the bed and rest my eyes. Yes, just that. Now,usually people would love to lie down and rest , I mean, heck, who doesn't want to lie down whole day and rest on the comfortable bed doing nothing at all. BUT NO, the truth is far from that.Honestly, you wouldn't want to do that coz it would be as boring as hell.

Too much of anything is bad. That's one of the absolute truth I have learned from years of experience. So, folks, seriously take care of your eyes. DO NOT EVER GET EYE INFECTION. It will make u feel useless. Oh btw, just to scare you guys into taking care of yourself properly, here's a pic of my medications.

*gasp* alot right? and I have to take all that in a day @.@

Alright, moving on. What have i been doing this whole week till I ended up like this? Well, for starters ,I have been going out everyday , and i mean it, EVERYDAY after STPM ended. So.. hmm that would be around a week of going out non-stop consecutively. And most of the hang outs are centered in gurney. Seriously , now, I think i am getting sick of going out.Is that even possible?

Turns out it is.Yes, one can really get sick of going out.As I said earlier, too much of anything is bad. Finally the frequent hang outs have taken a toll on me. And my body responded by befriending those diseases ==. Tough luck huh?

Oh well, not that I can regret and take back those actions. Now,the hang outs are finally over, it is finally time to do something productive.. .. Oh wait, there's one more event next week.. that is.. PAINTBALL!!
Woo hoo ,Yipee!! Hmm well actually , I wasn't that keen on the idea of paintball because firstly,it's an expensive sport * rm 40/pax for 250 pellets * not to mention if one really wanna be serious in this sport, one have to buy the equipments, sportwears, helmet, kevlar etc etc which would cost a BOMB * I have seen some ppl spending rm 1 k + just for his specialised paint gun*
and secondly , you can really get hurt, real bad. As in, seriously though the pellets are not bullets but they could still do a substantial amount of damage especially when shot at a short range.

But, seeing that so many people would be participating this time and it would suck to miss such event to play together with many familiar people and meeting new friends too, I chose to forego reasoning and logic over the excitement and fun that it may bring :D.

So yeah, hopefully it would really be fun and exciting. I am keeping my fingers crossed so that I don't get shot :P. K,that's all for now. Till the next time folks !! MERRY CHRISTMAS :DDD

Langkawi Trip

On Saturday ,19th September 2010,I had the privilege of being invited to join the Langkawi “Go Green Nature Tour” day trip program (RM350/pax) with Jamie,Yimei ,Wai Ho,Chan,Mary and Sam.At first i was rather curious and sceptical of the program.I mean, if somebody who u barely knew just call u up and say "hey, there's this free one day trip to langkawi and your blog have been reviewed and deemed worthy to be sponsored this trip .Congrats ! so, what do ya think? wanna join? " , what would u do ?

I dunno about u guys ,but on that very day , I was feeling a bit adventuorous and wanted to go out of my comfort zone, hence I took up the offer. It turns out to be one of the best decision I ever met :). So,here's the documentation of my trip on that day. . Enjoy :D .

******
At around 7.30 , I reached the check-in entrance next to the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower along Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah. As it was rather early , I wandered around the area wondering how would my adventure be and how will my travelmates turn out to be * you see, this is the very first time i will be meeting all of them, hence the anxiety :D*

At 8.10 , finally everyone arrived and we had a brief getting to know each other session and proceed to board the designated ferry called "Kenangan 3" .We departed from Port Swettenham at exactly 8.30.
The bloggers aren't really keen on taking pics so... :D
This pic is self-explanatory lol.
The journey went smoothly and it took 3 hours till we reach our destination, which is the Langkawi Jetty Point.Along the way, we took a little detour to Pulau Payar to drop some of the tourists.
After travelling for continuously for 3 hours, naturally we will be hungry and thirsty. Knowing this in mind, the great wise souls of our sponsorers decided to give us a feast by leading us to the Charlie's Place, a food and beverage centre. We reached at around 11.30..having our lunch there. Before anything else, let me say this first , the food were absolutely FANTASTIC !!!

Moreover, the best thing about it , is that they are FREE ! Hell yeah ! All hail the sponsorers,Langkawi Saga Travel &Tours Sdn Bhd. The set lunch that was included in the trip offered consists of Tomato Soup as the appetiser , and the main courses comprises of Nasi Goreng Kerabu, Beef/Chicken Burger, Fish & Chips, Spaghetti Napolitana or Club Sandwich. Here are some tantalising pictures that will bound to stimulate and excite your taste buds . =P

After that gastronomic experience , we proceed to move on to do the next thing in the itenary list, which is to ride cable car ! :D.Thus, after travelling for yet another hour in the van that they rented,we reached Langkawi Oriental Village.a tourist attraction which was built based on "contempary village "design which also serves for entrance to the Langkawi Cable Car.Just a brief stroll inside and one would be captivated immediately by its scenic and panaromanic sceneries ,with the buildings nearby having nearly the same recognizable designs .Oh, and there's this little red bridge connecting the ponds which makes the entire setting resembling old ancient chinese house nearby a river.Alright, without further ado... here are some pictures ! Enjoy :).Bloggers will always be bloggers.. haha

The red bridge that I mentioned afore.
There's this automated wheel riding machine here that serves as a mode of transportation if u ever feel lazy to even walk . It can be rented for a small amount of fee .Instead of a trishaw or bicycle, they opt for this instead. Interesting eh ? :) I would say it's worth a try if u have the time and money to do so.
The main attraction inside is this Duty Free zon shop.A visit here is a must if u wanted to get some souvenirs.. or let's say liquor or wine ? at a substantially cheap price *well compared to in mainland of course*
Otherwise u can opt for this homemade souvenirs / gifts sold along the roads, which i think is amazingly well-crafted and it's beautiful too :D
Unfortunately, the queue for the Langkawi Cable Car was too long and hence we needed to opt for plan B, which is to go to Undewater World Langkawi. Before that though , we took a little detour to Kilim Karst Geoforest Park.Karst topography is a landscape created by groundwater dissolving sedimentary rock such as limestone. This creates landforms such as shafts, tunnels, caves, and sinkholes. The Kilim Geoforest Park showcases a magnificent limestone formation, which dominates the eastern part of the island and those adjacent to it.

So,we started our journey exploring it by taking a boat to the “Hole in the Wall” Fish Farm& Restaurant, the only floating restaurant in Langkawi.Immediately, when we arrived, we were treated with a live exhibition of stingray feeding session. It was infinitely fascinating to see how the stingray interact with the trainer and also with other tourists.Turns out some stingrays are harmless, and in fact even friendly! :D.The other attraction there is the famous archerfish(ikan sumpit/spinner fish). These seemingly innocent and timid fishes are capable of shoooting water from their mouth to hit dry land insects or preys to be able to eat them. They are also capable of leaping out of the water and grab the food within their reach.

After that, we went to move on to the next destination , Eagle Feeding Site.Sitting in the rocky boat, travelling with the breeze of wind grazing our cheeks, i must say ,this is one of the most enjoyable experience ever ! :). Upon our arrival, there are already a few majestic eagles feasting upon the baits prepared beforehand.I must say ,it is indeed a wonderful experience watching those majestic eagles gliding and sweeping through the sky and swooped down to catch the bait.

After which , we moved on to the Bat Caves. As the name implies, it's a cave filled with bats .Walking through the man-made pathway, we went inside the dark caves where the bat lives. Inside, we saw many bats, virtually hundreds or more of them if i am not mistaken, hanging upside down on the stalagmites and stalagtites. Well, I will let the pictures do the talking so.. enjoy =D

After the exploration, finally we travelled to the last of the destination in our itenary, which is the.. Underwater World of Langkawi !!! All the gloom and sadness of not being able to ride the cable car instantly vanishes when we visited this marvellous tourist attraction. Surely the experience here is more than enough to compensate our loss of riding cable car.

The underwater world of langkawi is divided into a few sections, namely fresh water & marine life section, freshwater section, and tropical rainforest section.Words and photographs alone cannot do justice to the experience gained here. It is indeed truly a breathtaking journey inside here. It's akin to being transformed to the underwater world, really living with the fishes ,seals and other marine creatures when i was in the marine water section. The tropical rainforest section features the settings of the heart of Amazon with attractions including Anaconda,Marmosets and a bevy of beautiful ground birds such as Flamingo and Macau.

Finally, the one day trip to langkawi ended and all of us returned home with a big smile, carrying with us precious memories we wouldn't forget anytime soon :). If any of you intended to go langkawi , and have no idea to start, do contact :
